What changes per service

Same delivery model. Different scope.

Every service we run uses the same backbone: dedicated US-trained staff, a US-based manager reviewing output weekly, backup coverage on every seat, and documentation that travels with the role. What changes is the scope of work and the software stack. A bookkeeper's day looks different from a tax preparer's day, which looks different from an audit supervisor's day.

Here's how to think about choosing:

  • Transactional work (bookkeeping, AP, AR, payroll) is the highest-leverage offshore engagement for most businesses. Volume is predictable, process is documentable, and the time zone difference actually helps – work you hand off at 5pm is done by 9am.
  • Tax preparation is busy-season-heavy and benefits most from dedicated offshore capacity that ramps up in January and runs through April. Most CPA firms we work with double their tax throughput without hiring locally.
  • Audit support works as an extension of your engagement team. Offshore staff handle workpapers, PBC responses, tie-outs, and testing documentation while your US staff focus on fieldwork, review, and client communication.
  • Close and reporting (month-end close, financial reporting) is about consistency and speed. Businesses that move close offshore typically cut the cycle from 15–20 days to 5–8 days because someone's working on it every day.
  • Senior roles (controller, CFO) take longer to onboard but create outsized leverage. One offshore controller at $4k–$6k/month replaces a US hire that would cost $120k+ loaded.
Common path: most clients start with one or two services (usually bookkeeping + AP) to validate the model. Once the first seat is running clean by month two, they add tax or audit capacity ahead of the next busy season, then scale senior roles in year two.

If you're unsure where to start, book a 15-minute scoping call – we'll map your current stack and show you which service line has the biggest capacity bottleneck.
